Yourport opens its doors! At last!

Today, Yourport finally opened its doors to the world wide web, with one clear goal: "To make surfing the net as simple as possible". First of all we would like to give a huge thanks to all the hard work and the countless hours that have been put in helping shape and improve the site for all our users.

The idea is of this blog is to keep all our users up to date with the current site and it's future plans. We hope you will enjoy reading it as much as we are going to enjoy writing it. Speak soon.

No rest for the wicked.

Following our hectic launch we have received tons of great feedback from our users. Thanks everyone. Needless to say we've been busy putting all your fantastic ideas into development.

Here is a quick update of what is coming soon.

1 – YourPort Anywhere

Our first feature, which will be deployed in a few days, will allow users to login into their profile and see their ports from any computer. First, we just need a few days to expand our server capacity to accommodate all our new users.

2 – AutoPort©

As we all know, life is easier when you don’t have to do anything. This is why we've developed a tool that will automatically take your computers bookmarks and favorites and tranfer them onto Yourport. What will you have to do? Absolutely nothing.

3 – The YourPort Toolbar

The brain-boxes here at Yourport have made a nifty little button called ‘Add to Yourport’. The idea - The button will sit in your browsers toolbar and when you see a site you like, simply click it and the site you are on will instantly appear on Yourport. Nice and simple.

4 – MyPort, TheirPort

Everyone loves to share, and so do we. Shortly, all you lovely people will be given the option to share your own bookmarks and tabs with other users and friends on the site. Select what you want to share, select who your want to share it with and hey presto… you are sharing.

5. What’s on Yours?©

Interested in seeing what other Yourporters currently have on their homepage. One of our new features will allow anyone to make their own tabs visible to all users. This way you can keep up to date of new websites and trends. We will even send you a selection of the most favored sites amongst our users and also a list of sites that we think you may be interested in.

6. IPort©

Well everyone else is doing it so cant we! We have had a staggering amount of requests to develop a YourPort IPhone Application. And we know you are right so……..we have. Very soon you will be able to make use of all our site features on your shiny new Iphone.

In the meantime if you think of anything else you would like us to add, you know what to do.
